WHY DO WE NEED BIONIC LIMBS?
Most of the general population do not need bionic limbs, but some people are born without limbs or can lose limbs in accidents. A woman travelling to Bali with here friend lost her arm after a suicide-bomber set off a bomb in a night-club. A man lost his leg in a motorcycle accident. A cyclist lost his leg at 14 due to a bone-marrow cancer. There are many stories similar to these of people losing limbs in accidents, terrorist attacks, or due to diseases. All of these people required bionic limbs. Without these limbs, these people would not have been able to complete various simple tasks such as tying back your hair, riding a bike, or even walking.
